JSC "National Research Center for Maternal and Child" got the most prestigious international accreditation and JCI confirmed the world class medical services.

JSC "National Research Center for Maternal and Child" was the official conclusion of the International Joint Commission (Joint Commission International) accreditation to international standards JCI. According to experts Joint Commission International (USA, Chicago) Center was given the status of "Accredited Clinics." This is the first clinic of this level of the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, which has received this accreditation. To date, the world's only slightly more than 400 hospitals accredited by the standards of JCI, in other words, our Center  corresponds to the highest international standards. Accreditation Joint Commission International - this is the most objective and most prestigious international certification in the field of health care, which is considered the "gold standard" of quality and is a confirmation of the relevant medical institutions internationally accepted medical and administrative standards, and requirements to ensure the international targets for patient safety.

Preparation for international accreditation of "National Research Center for Maternal and Child" was launched in 2009 and took place in 4 stages: Stage 1 - the initial assessment (2009), Stage 2 - Test accreditation (2010), Stage 3 - the final accreditation (2011) , Stage 4 - focal accreditation (2012).

JCI consultants paid special attention to such important factors as the professional level of medical and non-medical personnel, ethical standards (personal attitude to patients by medical and administrative staff). An assessment of clinical criteria of reliability of service, safety for patients and their loved ones safe organization of personnel, technology infrastructure, management systems, production and environment, and a number of other indicators.

Getting JCI international accreditation center of maternity and childhood confirms its dedication to high standards of quality and safety of the treatment. Undoubtedly, this will increase the level of service that will allow citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan and foreign citizens to receive high-quality health care without having to travel outside the country. In addition, this accreditation will help to ease the international markets and the development of medical tourism in Kazakhstan.
